In the unfortunate event of an incident that may give rise to a claim, please contact your local Hastings office immediately.

Outside office hours please use the information below to help to you in the initial stages of reporting a Motor Insurance, Home Insurance or Travel Insurance claim.

Motor Insurance Claims

Windscreen

As a Hastings client you need to refer to your policy documents and phone an approved windscreen repairer. They will handle everything, from calling to you to fix your windscreen, to arranging payment and paperwork direct with your insurance company.

Car Accident

Simply refer to your policy documents and phone the emergency assistance number. They will take the initial details on first notification of your motor insurance claim. Your local Hastings office should then be contacted on the next working day.

House Insurance Claims

Refer to your policy documents and phone the emergency assistance number who can take the initial details on first notification of your house insurance claim. Your local Hastings office should then be contacted on the next working day.

Travel Insurance Claims

Refer to your policy document for the emergency assistance number who will take the initial details of your travel insurance claim. Your local Hastings office should then be contacted on the next working day.

Please note that you may engage the services of a loss assessor to act in your interests however, any such appointment will be at your own expense.

Personal Injuries

Where an accident has occurred and a personal injury has been suffered, please refer to the Injuries Board’s Claimant Information Leaflet here. The Injuries Board is a Government body which was established to deliver fair and independent awards for victims of motor, workplace or public place accidents. The information in the leaflet informs you how to apply, and outlines the various steps in the process of making an application to assessing and accepting an award. Uninsured/Unidentified/Foreign Registered Vehicles

If you were involved in a motor accident with an uninsured or unidentified vehicle or with a foreign registered vehicle please contact the Motor Insurance Bureau of Ireland (MIBI) on (01) 6769944 or visit their website www.mibi.ie.
